Today I am pleased to announce I have joined an initiative led by Mayor Lee Harris to help clear a pathway to rehabilitation and restoration for those with arrest and conviction records.
I am sponsoring an ordinance to “ban the box” in Shelby County Government and to help create opportunities for employment for those seeking a new start.
I am thankful for the support of our partners in the faith community and organizations such as HopeWorks that help people break the cycle and return to productive life.
