We’re holding a special called meeting on Monday, September 18, at 3 p.m., to hear from the General Sessions Court and the Judicial Commissioners.
The public is invited. Please join us at the Vasco A. Smith, Jr., Administration Building, 160 N. Main Street, on the First Floor in the Commission Chambers.
What’s happening at 201 Poplar? This is your chance to find out.
The court will share reports covering all bail setting decisions made in the six months prior to, and the six months following, the opening of the Bail Hearing Courtroom.
The reports are the result of resolutions passed by the Shelby County Commission, including one I sponsored seeking additional and more frequent data sharing from the Bail Hearing Courtroom and the Judicial Commissioners.
Presenting is General Sessions Criminal Court Judge Bill Anderson along with Lead Judicial Commissioner John Marshall, who was featured recently in two-part in-depth interview (here and here) with the Daily Memphian.
I hope you can join us.
